19,000 Graveyards to go...

A UK company with funding from the USA has begun a monumental task to 'google streetview' all of the UK's Church of England Graveyards - thats over 19,000.

Using state of the art equipment they are taking detailed scans of each and every grayestone. They are also digitizing old records held by each church, some dating hundered of years ago.

The end product will be a website where you can click on a map of a church somewhere in the UK, click on a gravestone and see who is buried there, and when.

More information is available on request. Including quotes and contact details for the mappers and CEO of the project.
